Does anybody have any positive or negative feedback on hot oil treatments for dreads? I am constantly buying new hair products and came across this product called Ojon Restotative Hair treatment which is a deep conditioning treatment and the first ingredient is Elaeis Oleifera (American Palm Oil) No wax is present on the ingredient list so do you think this will leave a build up similar to wax? I am also considering putting coconut oil in my dreads as an experiment before I spend $55 on the Ojon product. Let me know what you dreadies have experienced. Blessings

Re: Coconut Oil for Dreads...
Wed, December 31, 2008 - 3:43 PMI reccommend using oil on dreads only if the locks are at least 1-2 years old. If the locks are not mature enough, the oil will cause them to fall apart.
