so my dreads are about 2 1/2 years and i had them started with hairpolice's "dread perm" (mistake, i know.. i was young) ALSO while my dreads were maturing i probably bleached them a few times (bad again, i know) so, here i am now stuck with the consequences, having DRY, BRITTLE dreads. WHAT can i do to save them? i do have knotty boy dread conditioning spray, how do you feel about that stuff?! Are there any oils you suggest i put in. HELP! thanks!

Re: What do you do about DRY dreads
Mon, October 12, 2009 - 5:40 PMMy best advice to you would be to try either cassia or henna as a treatment for your hair...that way, you're not putting oils on your dreads, which, even tho your dreads are well established, might loosen them...you'd likely have to use a thinner mixture and squeeze it thru your dreads, but the stuff does wonders for damaged hair...
Check out this page, which will link you up to their E-book on info for both henna and cassia...and good luck!
