There are two spots on my head where my dreads really want to join with one another. I am not against it in any way, and was wondering how I could encourage them to grow together. They are very young, just over a month old. Should I just stick some rubber bands on the tips and roots and palm roll em together for a while? Any thoughts?

Thu, February 5, 2009 - 9:01 PMYeah Jacq, at such a young stage you shouldn't have any problems joining them...you can band them together, or bind them with yarn/cotton, and palm-rolling will be essential in your endeavour :) That easy! Good luck! :D

I had 2 that worked their way together. Only the ends are still separate. I sort of combed them together, twisted them, and held them with a rubber band. -
