Alex, if your dreads are only three days old, then YES, they could most certainly mat back in...get palm-rolling!!! If they were more mature locks, then yeah, you'd have to sew em in, but at this stage, palm-roll the heck outta em, and worry about the stragglers later...and then sew em in :))

Hello. i was wondering, i got some dreads put in(28 total) and i have REALLY fine straight hair and there are loose hairs EVERY WHERE like some up to 2-3 inches long coming from the roots and the middle of every dread. any way i was wondering if i should sew all the hair into the dreads with a wool needle(some advise i recently got) or if i can perform the neglect or patience method. im asking because it seems like the neglect method would only work if ALL the hair is free and straight so it will all mesh and mat together and it seems like it would be harder for loose hair to mat into a baby dread. they are 3 days old right now and i used wax for the initial dreading but dont plan on using it ever again. i haven't washed my hair yet but i think i might go do it after i post this because i hate the way the wax feels in my hair and having a bunch of wax in my dreads definitely makes me NOT want to palm roll(because wax gets on my hands and therefore on EVERYTHING i touch for the next day). thanks in advanced for the help and im crossing my fingers for the neglect method lol.
