So my dreads are about a week and half old. I've already showered once, but I had put a nylon over my dreads to help keep them from coming apart at the roots. I was wondering if I should still go with a nylon while I'm showering. It's a bit difficult to actually wash some of my dreads with the nylon on, and I was wondering how everyone else washes theirs.

Mon, January 5, 2009 - 8:07 AMIf you're gently, they should be fine in regular running water, but if you're still concerned, you can always fill a tub and soak them and swish them gently until they tighten up.
