I have been researching much about dreadlocks--processes, products, dos and donts--but have yet to find information about the hair of my fellow Asians (I'm Chinese). I have long bone straight, coarse hair and am wondering how dreading long black asian hair compares to curlier hair? I would like to talk to someone in person and see if they can start me off in the right direction. I would like to start them off right with a loctician so that maintenance questions can be remedied customized to my hairs' needs.

Please feel free to comment on my hair type so that I can gauge the type and amount of maintenance required for clean, uniform, and kept locs.
